“ Wonderful clean hotel with very comfortable bed,plenty of towels toiletries,hot drinks assortment, bottled water etc. warm reception from hosts and nothing too much trouble. Delicious breakfast, more than catering for our vegan preferences.... toast, marmite!,sausages, mushrooms,hash brown,tomatoes,beans,fried peppers and wilted spinach!Tremendous.Highly recomend. ”
“ We stayed here for one night as we had a family wedding in the vicinity. Beautiful modern large rooms, immaculately clean with everything you may need. Andrew was super hospitable and made us feel welcome. We arrived at around 2 pm and were starving so Andrew quickly made us this amazing ham and cheese toasted sandwich. We also had a fantastic breakfast..the full English was simply perfect. Super satisfied ! ”
“ We were very lucky to get a room at this hotel even though it was officially closed for holidays. The welcome was very warm, and even though something went wrong, it was resolved quickly and kindly. As an apology, we even received four complimentary drinks. “ What a gem this place is! I couldn't believe that the restaurant wasn't full of locals. The hotel side is delightful. The rooms are super clean and well presented. The mattress in Room 1 could do with replacing but I'm not going to knock the score. The restaurant - for both evening meal and breakfast - is exceptional. It's abundantly clear that every ingredient has been so carefully chosen (the ribeye steak is absolutely worth the price tag!) and everything is then so carefully cooked. Nothing is spared a careful attention to detail, even the bread basket with supper and the toast basket in the morning carries a range of high quality bread types. If you're passing through: stay here. If you live in the area, dine here! ”
“ Had a really lovely stay here for a Friday and Saturday night, Shelia (one of the new owners) really looked after us. Rooms were warm, comfortable and clean and tidy, fresh milk and water provided via fridge and breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Really lovely full english. We had some nice walks around the area as well, and also tried out the Titsey Brewery for food on the Friday night which was a lovely spot with great views. Easy access for the rooms at any time which was so handy. Thanks Shelia for a lovely stay! ”
“ Pay no attention to any recent negative reviews! This hotel has recently undergone a change in management, very much for the better. With a charming location in a lovely, quaint village, comfortable rooms and a calm & welcoming ambience, staying here this weekend was a real treat. Whilst the restaurant is currently closed for refurbishment, there are plenty of local alternative on offer for dinner and they are still able to offer a really delicious breakfast (one of the nicest I've had in any hotel). The best thing about this hotel are the new management, who really are incredibly welcoming and accomodating. They are working extremely hard and have already brought the hotel up to a really high standard. I would gladly recommend a stay here to anyone. ”

“ If we had checked the previous reviews we wouldn’t have booked here but thank goodness we did book!! As it turns out, the new owners had only taken over a week before our stay, so any previous feedback doesn’t reflect their management. We’d accidentally booked the wrong date, but Shelia (one of the new owners) couldn’t have been more understanding. Luckily, they had a room available and were incredibly accommodating. While the room hasn’t been updated yet, it was spotless and we had a very comfortable night’s sleep. Plus the shower was excellent. Breakfast was a real highlight—homemade compote with Greek yoghurt, a freshly baked croissant, and a delicious full English. Worth the visit for this alone! We’re already looking forward to coming back and seeing how they put their stamp on the place. Huge thanks again for being so welcoming Sam and Mark ”
